what a? s**ty tanks...like from cold war...

@GvardiyaBY Its ...
@GvardiyaBY Its worth noting is that the DPRK (GlobalSecurity) can produce 400-500 tanks a year. The fact that they have only built about 300 of them and the number of Chonma-Ho's and T-62's which are capable of late chonma-ho upgrades is steady at about 2000 combined with that theyve? had M-2002 since 2002 means that The tank is probably of a higher quality than what the DPRK is usually able to produce with them spending most resources on upgrading thier existing fleet or making new M-2002's

@GvardiyaBY True,? ...
@GvardiyaBY True,? but the Chieftan FCS was extremely advanced in its day and although outdated now it is still vastly superior to any old russian systems they might have had lying around. The 125mm gun is very effective if you have it hooked up to a decent FCS and put decent ammunition in it. Also the terrain on the Korean Peninsula (Mountains and Urban Areas with some swamps) eliminates most long-range combat scenarios allowing the M-2002 to engage at short and Medium Range where it is best.

@ ...
@SouthernMilitaryGuru Well, it is probably superior to previous DPRK tanks... but still, Chieftain is old, and systems used on him was? outmached long ago..

@GvardiyaBY I dont ...
@GvardiyaBY I dont beliee that it is actually superior to the latest american or russian or south korean tanks. Nor is it ultra-Modern. We can assume that it is superior to chonma-ho 5 which we know about in more detail so that gies us some more points of reference. The add-on Armour isnt useless, while against other tanks it doesnt do much it does help with protection (Depending on Quality) gainst hand held anti-tank weapons.? Same Nightision equipment, but a new(ish) FCS. (Chieftan FCS)

@GvardiyaBY To be ...
@GvardiyaBY To be more specific M-2002 most likely uses the 2A46 125mm main gun as it is also used on Chon'ma-ho 5. It also more than likely uses a engeine copied from a late model T-72 they acquired in the early 90's. The Tanks "IR Projector" and laser rangefinder are copies of late model Chieftan Tank FCs from great britain, courtesy of Iran. They can? produce composite armour and ERA but not in large quantities M-2002 and Chonma Ho 5 hae light composite armour on the front.

@ ...
@SouthernMilitaryGuru Well, no one is have real data about DPRK armor, since not even they announce anything except claims how they are "Superior" than oponents, which don't sound serious to anyone. I just doubt? that country with history of production copies of T-62 was able to suddenly produce ultra modern tank. On first look, M-2002 dont look modern. We can see add-on armor, like on old T-62's and same old nightvision equipment.

@GvardiyaBY Do you ...
@GvardiyaBY Do you have a SOurce?? I don't disbelieve you as I can see you are in the Belarus Armed Forces and have a better knowledge in detail of Soviet Armor than I. Understand that I have to work with mainly internet sources and as such many quote wikipedia. While My info on the T-72 may be sketchy, I do know a great deal about north korea and North Korean Armor and M-2002 is roughly equivelant to a K1A1 and superior to a K1. K2 is vastly superior but is not yet in production in the SK

@ ...
@SouthernMilitaryGuru Anyway, another thing pointed how much you dont know about soviet armor. T-62 is further development of T-55, while T-72 have NOTHING IN COMMON WITH T-62. It is not further development of T-62, it is new design. Only source who claim how T-72 is further development of T-62 us wikipedia. They have nothing in common and dont share? anything except that letter "T" in designation.

@ ...
@SouthernMilitaryGuru T-72 or T-90? Do you have knowledge about Soviet/Russian armor? This tank have modified? T-62 hull and turret, with almost identical wheels like one on 2s3, and have no connection with T-90 or T-72, not even physical one. Who consider him slightly inferior to mid or early T-90? This tank still use ancient IR projector like T-55 and T-62, and same rangefinder like one on upgraded T-55AM from early 80's. And DPRK cant produce modern composite armor.

@GvardiyaBY On the ...
@GvardiyaBY On the M-2002 The tank is deeloped from the T-62, but so are the T-72 and by extension the T-90 The Tank Is generally considered to be slightly inferior to a mid-range T-90 or similar to a Gulf-War Era abhrams tank. The FCS on the Pokpoong-Ho is a upgraded copy of the late model Chieftan FCS (from Iran) and is fairly modern. It has? lugs for reactive armor but it wasn't used in this parade. Among Military Inteligence it is considered on par with a mid-model T-80 or early T-90

Money means nothing ...
Money means nothing when you have a country brainwashed and will to fight with all there heart and pride for a leader? or country nationalism at its finest lol

@GvardiyaBY I ...
@GvardiyaBY I agree - NK is not exactly reknown for high engineering standards or high quality military equipment. However well it's built, it's not going to be able to stand up to, say an M1A1 or a K2. Apparently,? they only have about 300 of them too.

@Guncriminal That ...
@Guncriminal That tank is based on modified T-62, so I am highly doubtful that he is serious tank for modern day battlefield. He is not close to T-90, or even T-80 series. As I can see, he have no reactive armor, no modern sights (old IR projector? is clearly visible on turret)... He might have similar performance as T-72A...

@GvardiyaBY ...
@GvardiyaBY Yeah, I? know they're not literally BTRs, but they are knock-offs. I hadn't heard of the Pookpong-ho, but from what I've read about it, they seem to think it's on par with the T90, although saying it's on par with the T80 might be closer to the truth.

@Guncriminal You ...
@Guncriminal You can't see BTR-50 or? BTR-60, because they are not on video. Those are some of their BTR's based on BTR-70 or BTR-80. Last tanks are their newest Pookpong-ho.

Jesus Christ that's ...
Jesus Christ that's a lot of armor. Well this nothing some A10s can't take care of. ?

Noth korea will beat the living hell out of the? U.S.

@DarthFanta are u ...
@DarthFanta are u retarded? theyre nukes could level tokyo or beijing in an instant even if the country is? destroyed in the aftermath

North Korea is? ...
North Korea is? weak, their military equipment's antique. Just let them rot, we don't need to give them any aid at all. They couldn't threaten us with their antique weaponry anyway. In fact, they will probably be the ones destroyed if they invade due to the lack of money. To give them money after each fit would be a policy of appeasement, to foster belief that they can get money by misbehaving.
